Professor Bob Brown was a consummate sociologist and educator. His love of nature and animals fueled his ambition to educate area youth and adults about the wonders of the outdoors. He created life-long, meaningful relationships with many NCCC students and residents of the Saranac Lake region and enjoyed spending time sharing his varied experiences with everyone. Whether he was heading out to hunt or fish, or to volunteer at a community event, Bob’s smile glowed with excitement. He was one of those once-in-a-lifetime mentors who lead by example and thrived on helping others learn and grow, no matter what the subject or situation. The memories he made with those who knew him are the stories that will go down in history and never be forgotten.
